When i learned that Emilio Estefan was brand ambassador of the "Life Reimagined" initiative by AARP, I was elated. I wanted not only to finally meet one of the world's most accomplished latino producers, I also wanted to learn more about this great stage of his life and how he manages all that he does. I was curious how much more does Emilio Estefan want to accomplish lol.
While mingling and enjoying the event's complimentary cocktails and fabulous hors d'oeuvres lol, I became familiar with the "Life Reimagine" initiative by AARP. It was pretty awesome!
I learned that the "Life Reimagined" initiative introduces a powerful step-by-step approach to help people in the 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond help discover possibilities, prepare for change, and make your ideas real - whether you're focused on work, health, relationships, or finally pursuing your passion. -- "Life Reimagined" - what a great concept!
One should never give up on their dreams, and doing what you love at any stage of your life is really living.
You live your passion. You live happier. You live longer. It's that simple.
Through the "Life Reimagined" initiative, it's quite understood people are applying their life experiences to carve out new paths. They are looking for new jobs, often in completely different areas than where they spent their past careers. They are looking for their new life's purpose, a cause or passion. They're developing new skills, learning and discovering, and finding interests and pastimes. Welcome to the new world! Shifting is in progress.
Emilio Estefan spoke briefly about his experience in the music world. He said something that resonated with me. He said that you must continue to rebrand yourself, rebrand your life. Emilio Estefan also mentioned that after the decline of the old music business model, he needed to find ways to continue enriching his life aside from music. He became a restauranteur and part owner of a sports team in Florida. Wow, go Emilio!!!
Emilio Estefan had to dig within himself and allow all of his beautiful colors within him to shine. This is why Emilio Estefan is brand ambassador of AARP's "Life Reimagined". Emilio Estefan represents the American dream!
During his brief speech, Emilio Estefan also mentioned that when he immigrated to America from Cuba as a little boy, he knew that he wanted to make music as a living. He didn't know how, but he knew he did. Emilio Estefan had very little money as a child, but he worked very hard and was finally able to afford his favorite instrument (with the help of his family) and the rest is history! Wepa!
Oh yes, he also mentioned that his wife, Gloria Estefan has a new album coming out soon lol. Awesome! I am a huge fan!
